Those Italian designers have always had a knack.

For example, this Tole lamp, made in Italy, is totally adjustable. It can be hung from above, or can rest on a table. The shade slides up and down so the intensity of the “flame” can be controlled. It comes with it’s own candle snuffer if for any reason the on/off switch fails to do the trick.

A truly brilliant design!!!

Beautiful Bitossi Rimini Blue:

New at Everydayhousewife. This Bitossi (Italian Ceramics) Penguin and Owl, were originally designed by Aldo Londi in the 50′s. Due to the popularity of these Iconic designs, they are still in production today. I suspect these are most likely reproductions, but it is hard to say when? as the original designs were produced in the early 50′s. The blue black and green glaze combination with the iconic indentations (not to mention how heavy they are) make these an incredible addition to any mid century modern decor.

February is the best time of the year to buy a carpet primarily because we find ourselves staying indoors (depending on weather) more than we might like. That said, we also take a closer look at what needs to be done around the house, and that can often include some decor changes.

Currently at Everydayhousewife, I am having a carpet sale, with prices on certain items marked as low as 70% off. The sale won’t be on for long, so if you need a carpet, try and pass by the shop for the best selection.

Here she is, my new Tupperware Mascot Edition I and don’t forget Edition II posted previously. Both of these gals, happy to earn some extra cash for the household.

These ceramic awards were handed out to those dedicated Tupperware Gals who would have been top sellers. For those of you too young to remember, everyone would get together at a friends home where they would view all the latest Tupperware pieces. You would place your order, and your friend would receive a Tupperware gift for inviting all her friends.

Times have certainly changed.
